Cricket fans from across the world highly criticised International Cricket Council (ICC) for ignoring Babar Azam, the world's number ODI batter, in the promo for the upcoming ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.

ICC dropped World Cup's promo on Thursday, featuring Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan in lead role.

The promo also features Jemimah Rodrigues, defending captain Eoin Morgan, Jonty Rhodes and Shubman Gill.

But, fans raised questions on the absence of the world's star batter in white-ball format, Babar.

Here's fans' reaction:

Fans also felt that the promo revolves more around the Indian cricket team just because the event will be hosted by BCCI.

10 teams will fight for the elusive title across 10 venues from October 5 to November 19, with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosting the tournament opener and the final.

There are six day matches which will start at 10:00am Pakistan Standard Time (PST) while all other matches, including the knockouts, will be day-night fixtures starting at 01:30pm (PST).
